City of Heroes just recently implemented an "invention" system where combining various parts will give you enhancements to your powers or special costume pieces.
This comic takes place in a university (which is where you have to go to make inventions).

This one came together so fast, I wonder if I may actually be able to finish number 12 before the year is over! That would be an average of one a month (woo hoo!)

I really wanted to do something current so I rushed to do this while Issue 9 was still less than a month or so old.

For those who are paying attention, you may have noticed someone standing around invisible in the last panel. Where have we seen her before? Hmm…
On art, this is the first comic where I've started to airbrush more parts instead of using hard shadows. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just look up there at my new logo at the top of the page. Airbrushed makes for smoother shadows and tones.
